Studio Rose Hallgren

Multidisciplinary architect and designer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work explores the intersection of traditional craft techniques and contemporary architectural practice, with a particular focus on weaving and ceramics as mediums for spatial design.

Rose is co-founder of Fanfaluca Collective , an architecture collective spanning Stockholm and Barcelona, and C.O.U.A. (The Collective of Unexpected Architecture), a studio for unexpected art and design. She is also part of Svartljus , a Stockholm-based lighting collective creating bespoke light sculptures and immersive experiences for museums, events, and festivals.

Folkbastu

Med inspiration från finsk bastukultur och kärlek för form, hantverk och hållbarhet, vill vi föreslå en bastubrygga i området kring Dalénum och Larsberg. En plats för Lidingöborna att få koppla av på och ta del av bastubadandets hälsofrämjande effekter.

Det är något magiskt med bastun, en plats som ger andrum från vardagens plikter. I vårt samhälle, där vi ofta är mer frånvarande än närvarande, finns ett behov av en plats för avkoppling och att vara i nuet.

Alma Löv Museum of Unexpected Art

En början har skapats, på ängen, över den lilla bäcken. "A place to call home", en plats att kalla hem och med ett intresse att lyfta fram ornamentik. Kan ornamentik skapa mervärde i ett hem?

En handgriplig process där skissandet sker i direkt kontakt med materialet och omgivningen. Där det utforskande är målet, och målet inte ett slut.

Tulip

Tulips are the only flower that, after being harvested, continues to grow – a beautiful idea to include in the creation of a vase intended just for the tulip.

The vase becomes, in contrast to the flower, a static object that must relate to something living that changes over time. The same richness of variation that we see in the flower.

Drip Drop Non Stop

Like the transparent willow leaves that make up the eel in its first stage of life, the viewers, brought together by the currents of life, become aware of their senses. The play between the most basic elements of our surroundings: light, water and sound is embodied by a recurring event, the dripping of water.

A meditative state and a stillness, softly entwined under a water surface. The drops are caught by a vessel which in turn emits a sound. A music of "drip drop" and resonance from the walls of the vessel is staged.

Drömmarens Malmö

Drömmarens Malmö (Malmö Dreaming) is Fanfaluca Collective's contribution to the architecture festival Malmö in the Making. The project consists of two parts, a film that examines the stories of Malmöiter (people of Malmö) and their connection to their city.

The second complementary element is a built installation where you can take part in the film in the public space. The contribution aims to invite a dreaming about our relationship with the city by conveying different descriptions and perspectives of Malmö.

Within dreaming, everything is possible. Hopes, reflections and relationships float to the surface. Together, we want to create a moment of shared travel in thought, through the spaces of the city.
